La Douleur Exquise - Madam Marvelous, the Queen of Darkness from the realm of Techno takes us on the decade long journey of a tattered heart that's burned to black... and likes it...
About the artwork-
Inspired after taking a Vogue workshop led by Madam Marvelous at Wild Orchid Aerial Fitness & Dance in Bloomington, Indiana (courtesy of her dance mentors Cesar Valentino and Anita DeCastro), artist Lauren Rose Martin sketched a drawing of Madam that she immediately knew would be the cover for her debut album, La Douleur Exquise. Lauren based the sketch off an original photo seen here, and taken by Paul Walker in New York City in which Madam was styled by David Alexander Glam. Madam says: "The creation of this album cover was a serendipitous and organic fruition, and I couldn't be happier with the final touches that Nova27 Records added to the work to make this piece a treasured work of art, one that demonstrates a true collaboration by multiple artists that I am lucky to call my friends."
