DJ/Producer
IMO STATE aka DJ Uch is a New York City based DJ/producer who is celebrating 10 years in the business in 2014. Uch began his DJ career in radio during his time as an entertainment reporter, which led to him interviewing some of the biggest names in dance music including David Guetta, freestyle icon Judy Torres and Kaskade, to name a few. In 2004, Uch ventured into nightlife landing his first DJ gig at a tequila lounge in Elmhurst, Queens. Since then, DJ Uch has performed at some of the city’s biggest clubs including Pacha, Cielo, Greenhouse, Highline Ballroom, Tenjune, Skyroom in addition to RiffRaff in the UK., Bagatelle in Hollywood, AM to PM in Berlin, and numerous industry events in Ibiza, Miami, Puerto Rico, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas. With an ever-growing desire for music-making, Uch began producing his own music and through the “Uch & Panic” project, he scored significant and regular airplay on NYC’s PULSE87 and PARTY 105FM. Uch has since completed projects for Lori Michaels on Monitor Sound Recordings (US) and other releases for Soundgroove (US), Flava (US), KULT (US), and of course Nova27 Records (US) as DJ Uch & IMO STATE. Building on his tribal and tech house legacy, Uch added big room vocal anthems to his repertoire. His “Amor Ibiza” reached the Top 100 on the Beatport Chart and his remix of “Rebound” hit #13 on Billboard’s Dance/Club Play charts.
